About
The BAU Cyprus Law Journal (BCLJ) is an open‑access, peer‑reviewed publication initiated by the Law Society of Bahçeşehir Cyprus University. Operated by our law students under the supervision of the Faculty of Law scholars, the journal provides a platform for legal scholars, practitioners and students to contribute to contemporary legal scholarship. BCLJ publishes research articles, essays, case reviews, book reviews and translations across all fields of law. We accept submissions from academics, legal professionals and students worldwide and operate a rigorous double‑blind peer‑review process.
Open Access and Licensing
Our journal is fully open access. All articles are made immediately available online and distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits users to read, download, copy, redistribute and adapt the material for any purpose, provided that the original authors and source are properly credited. There are no submission or publication fees. This policy reflects our commitment to the free dissemination of legal knowledge and aligns with best practice for scholarly publishing.
Publication Frequency
BCLJ publishes one issue per year in December. Additional special issues may be announced on our website.
Objectives
The primary objective of BCLJ is to provide researchers with high‑quality legal scholarship and to involve our law students in scholarly publishing. We aim to develop students’ research, writing and editorial skills while producing articles that address current legal issues and promote informed discussion. We welcome interdisciplinary contributions that examine the intersection of law with society, politics, philosophy and technology.
